About "Out of the Box":
Our very first Collie was a large, loving, Sable Merle, female. We met her breeders at a dog show and they had a photograph of their litter - one they named after a famous TV collie stole our hearts at first glance. We followed them to their house to meet the puppy and see if she liked us. When we arrived, she was out of the welping box and running about their home. Ever since, we joked that she was one of a kind, or truly original, or simply “out of the box”! She was the center of attention wherever we would take her – her looks being similar to that famously known TV collie - she easily drew attention wherever she went. She was a delight to the young, and old alike - whether being hand fed kibble by a friend’s toddler, to making an elderly man’s day to pet a dog like he had as a child. So easy going, laid-back and carefree, our “out of the box” collie was easy to please and easy to fall in love with.
