Wicks: We use braided, cotton wicks with a special paper filament woven around the outside.

WARNING: Candles are a very dangerous product when not used properly. Following these basic care tips can help avoid a disaster, but common sense and use by an age-appropriate person also factor into how well a candle performs.

Please keep the following safety tips in mind at all times when a candle is lit:

• Keep away from things that catch fire. 

• Keep out of reach of children and pets. 

• Burn candle within sight.

Keep wicks trimmed to 1/4” before every burn.
Keep wax pool free of debris. Avoid drafty areas.
Stop burning when 1/2” wax remains. 
Container will be hot when candle is lit.
Place on temperature safe surface.

For best candle performance:

First, supervised burn should last 4 hours or until a complete melted pool of wax is achieved. This varies with the size of the candle vessel diameter, typically one hour per inch, depending on room temperature. When a full melt pool is achieved, extinguish wicks with a candle snuffer or similar. Avoid blowing out a candle as you could blow embers out of the vessel without realizing. Do not extinguish candle using the wooden lid.

Always keep candle vessel covered to keep wax free of dust and debris. Never pickup a candle by it's lid as it is merely a dust cover.

If your candle has more than one wick, always light all the wicks within the candle each and every time it is lit. Uneven burns and dangerous conditions can happen when improperly lit. Fragrance throw when burning (also known as Hot Throw) is best when there is a full pool of melted wax atop the candle. Be sure to extinguish the candle if the melt pool becomes more than an inch deep at any one burn period.
